Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query under its own privacy terms. Hidalgo County Court Docket does not keep a separate log of names or case numbers entered into those partner search tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If an email is received, its contents and contact details may be retained to handle the message. The information is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most web services, the hosting and analytics systems can receive technical visit information.
- IP address and approximate network information
- Browser, device type, and operating-system details
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Referring site information when it is provided
- Dates and times associated with page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools may help measure traffic, understand basic use patterns, and maintain the service. Browser controls can limit cookies, though some functions may work differently when they are blocked.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and voluntarily supplied information may be used to operate, secure, and improve the resource.
- Maintain availability and diagnose technical problems
- Route a submitted search to the applicable outside provider
- Measure aggregate use and page performance
- Support advertising or referral-service operations
- Respond to a message where a reply is appropriate
No Court-Record Data on File
Hidalgo County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Hidalgo County court files or personal case-record data. The resource identifies official access channels for District, Magistrate, Probate, and municipal records. It is not a consumer reporting agency and does not assemble visitor data into consumer reports about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes that may appear on the resource. Information submitted to one of those tools is governed by the provider’s own retention, sharing, and privacy practices. Review that provider’s policy before entering information into its form.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to New Mexico courts, clerks, official case-search systems, and outside services. Their own privacy notices control after a visitor leaves this resource. Advertising partners may also measure activity on their systems to deliver or assess advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information can be disclosed to service providers or when law requires disclosure.
- A search partner when a user submits a query to its tool
- Analytics vendors used to measure performance
- Advertising networks that serve or measure ads
- Government entities responding to a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information received by the resource. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, it may be removed consistent with applicable law and operational needs.
Your Data Rights
Requests to review, correct, delete, or limit use of personal information will be considered as applicable law requires. Court-record access is different from visitor-data access: New Mexico court records are governed by the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12, and by Rule 1-079 NMRA for judicial records, redactions, and sealing. A court-record request belongs with the court custodian, not this private resource.
- Ask what personal information is retained
- Request correction of inaccurate contact information
- Ask for deletion where retention is not required
- Object to certain processing where applicable law provides that option
